"The purpose of this request is to hopefully receive 24 bikes and supplies to teach my Kindergarten, first grade and second grade, not only how to ride a bike, but also the importance and physical fitness/health benefits to riding a bike. I teach in a small rural community with a low income/high poverty level. A lot of my families don't have the financial means to buy a bike for their child, therefore that child will not learn the simple joy of riding a bike at home or on their own. 

Teaching my students how to simply ride a bike would be a huge accomplishment for them and bring them joy and pride in themselves. I believe in my students and want them to succeed. I want to give each and every student the opportunity to be a kid. And what better way to just be a kid...riding a bike." - PE Teacher, Heather B
