This is fantastic. How did you get the school to go along with this? I’ve encouraged my friend who has 2 kids to get on the Ellicottville School Board.

About Colden Elementary School

"Our school recently developed a project to construct bike and wellness trails. Bicycle playground features will be placed along the trail to excite and encourage confidence in biking. It is our hope to allow for all students to have the opportunity to learn how to ride a bike at an early age.

We realize that starting at an early age with Strider balance bikes and working with this curriculum will allow for an easier transition to pedaling and close the gap on kids who are not able to ride a bike. We are excited to incorporate this program into our unique bike trails project and are looking forward to seeing the students progression." - Erin G, Co-Chair Wellness Committee

Colden Elementary School is seeking support for a complete Kindergarten PE Program, including a fleet of 24 Strider AKB-Specific Bikes, helmets, pedal conversion kits, 4 Strider 20-inch Bikes for teacher instruction, and curriculum.
