All Kids Bike is on a mission to teach every child in America how to ride a bike in Kindergarten PE class.
About Great Oaks Legacy Charter
"I work in the city I grew up in which is Newark, NJ and I know that all families do not have the means necessary to provide their child with a bike. As we began school this year I asked scholars in my gym class who did not know how to ride a bike and I was shocked to see how many hands went up. About 85% of my Kindergarten friends do not know how to ride a bike and I want to change that statistic. I know I am more than capable to making sure that all of my little friends will learn how to ride a bike and this program with All Kids Bike will be able to help me to help them.
I did not tell any of my scholar friends that I am applying for this program to possibly get some free bikes because I do not want to let them down if our school is not selected. I really don't like to see the disappointment on their faces but maybe I will be able to share some good news with them if our campus is selected to receive the bikes. Whether we are selected or not I just want you to know that this opportunity you are providing to the children across the country is awesome. It really is impactful to them in their lives more than you know." - PE Teacher, Christopher S
