About Idlehurst Elementary School

"The All Kids Bike Program will significantly enrich, enhance and positively impact the children of Somersworth, NH. The All Kids Bike Program would fit in wonderfully into the comprehensive Physical Education program already in place. While Somersworth is a small city, there are some rural roads, a busy downtown area with sidewalks and lots of traffic and some residential pocket neighborhoods and some commercial areas.

Our students would benefit from the All Kids Bike Program by building a foundation for safe bike riding around town and would build confident and competent bikers who could, as they grow, use biking as a form of fitness, enjoyment and safe transportation. Just the notion that we could teach every kindergartener to bike is incredibly exciting! What a gift for our students and community that would last a lifetime!" - PE Teacher, Sara P

Idlehurst Elementary School is seeking support for a complete Kindergarten PE Program, including a fleet of 24 Strider AKB-Specific Bikes, helmets, pedal conversion kits, one Strider 20-inch Bike for teacher instruction, and curriculum.
