"Rudyard Elementary is a rural district in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan with a high poverty rate with 80% of our students receiving free or reduced lunch. Many of our students do not own bikes and do not even know how to ride a bike. By receiving a fleet of bicycles, we can give students the experience of learning how to ride a bike. For many of our students, this may be the only opportunity for them to ride a bike or even learn how to ride a bike." - PE Teacher, Billy Mitchell
