About Sonora Elementary School

"Sonora Elementary has an after school 21CCLC program that serves 110 students from kindergarten-5th grade. Most of these students are underprivileged. The program is designed to level the playing field for these students both academically and through enrichment. Our program received the Trailblazers grant and have been able to start a bike riding club for our after school program. Most of our students do not have bikes and no opportunity to learn to ride. This program allows these students to gain this skill. The All Kids Bikes would allow the Sonora afterschool program to begin teaching this skill at a younger age and help us to create a strong bike club for the students participating in our program." Sonora Elementary School is seeking support for a complete Kindergarten PE Program, including a fleet of 24 Strider AKB-Specific Bikes, helmets, pedal conversion kits, one Strider 20-inch Bike for teacher instruction, and curriculum.
