Charlie Fowler was a lifelong bicyclist. He traveled all over the United States and parts of Canada and Europe. He and his wife, Debbie, wonderful, kind people. brought their happiness everyone they met in their travels around the world. This donation, in Charlie's name, will help children learn the pleasure and satisfaction they can get from riding a bike: self-reliance, adventure and a chance to see new places and people, to name just a few of the benefit of biking. Nothing could have made him happier.

About West Park Elementary

"I would like to have the All Kids Bike program here at West Park Elementary (kindergarten only) because I started my own bike program at the 1st and 2nd grade school. (I am the P.E. teach for all K-2 students) I have 20 used bikes that were donated to me through the years for the 1st and 2nd graders. I think having the striker bikes at the kindergarten level would help those students who don't know how to ride to have the opportunity at school. Many parents have thanked me for helping their child learn to ride because the parents were struggling to help their student at home. Also, I teach my 1st and 2nd graders how to balance on small bikes first. Once they have the balancing skill then I encourage them to peddle. All Kids Bike program seems like the natural progression in the program here at Ravenna."- PE Teacher, Heather K.

West Park Elementary School is seeking support for a complete Kindergarten PE Program, including a fleet of 24 Strider AKB-Specific Bikes, helmets, pedal conversion kits, one Strider 20-inch Bike for teacher instruction, and curriculum.
