"As a title 1 school, we have a lot of students who do not get the opportunity to ride bikes or even own a bike in their childhood. This opportunity would truly impact my students by offering them an opportunity that they would not get elsewhere. I see how much riding a bike can help with students coordination, balance and enjoyment for physical activity. If this opportunity was granted to Willow, I know for a fact it would be something that would be integrated into our K-1 curriculum right from the start. Willow Lane Elementary School is seeking support for a complete Kindergarten PE Program, including a fleet of 24 Strider AKB-Specific Bikes, helmets, pedal conversion kits, one Strider 20-inch bike for teacher instruction, 2 steel rolling storage racks, and curriculum.
