About Yorkville Grade School

"This program will impact our organization by encouraging our Students to ride a bike while they're young to help them establish healthy exercise habits that can to stay with them for life. This program also not only improves physical fitness, but it can also improve our students learning development and mental health in many ways. Riding a bike helps to improve students' gross motor skills by working on coordination, endurance and strength which I a huge part of kindergarten physical education class. Most importantly, this program will provide an opportunity for students who may not have a bike at home to experience and learn as well as have lots of fun." PE Teacher Le'Royia C. 

Yorkville Grade School is seeking support for a complete Kindergarten PE Program, including a fleet of 50 Strider AKB-Specific Bikes, helmets, pedal conversion kits, one Strider 20-inch bike for teacher instruction, 2 metal rolling storage racks, and curriculum.
