About Buffalo PS 81

"My school is an inner-city public school located in Buffalo, NY. There is a significantly large portion of our students who have never experienced the opportunity to learn how to ride a bike. This is due to a number of factors outside of their control. We have a large number of students who walk to school and many of them do not receive transportation as they live too close to the school. This program would change that for all students that attend my school in their Pre-K years through graduation in 8th grade. 

I would love for my students to have the basic knowledge on riding a bicycle, safety rules that go along with riding a bicycle and also street rules on bicycling. We are a Title 1 school and don't always have the resources for funding. 

My school, PS #81, is requesting support in securing a complete Kindergarten PE Program, including a fleet of 24 Strider AKB-Specific bikes, helmets, pedal conversion kits, 1 Strider 20-inch bike for teacher instruction, 2 steel rolling storage racks, and curriculum." Amie B., PE Teacher
