About Burgess- Peterson Academy

"The All Kids Bike program would be an exceptional program to implement into our kindergarten curriculum at Burgess-Peterson Academy. As a true neighborhood school, many of our students currently walk or bike to school, however, I have noticed that many of our kindergarten students are unable to ride a bike correctly. The students at BPA have often discussed the desire to learn how to ride a bike and physical education class would be the perfect opportunity to provide equity for all students and a safe space to learn.

With the opportunity to have a class set of Strider balance bikes, I could ensure that all kindergarten students have the opportunity to learn how to ride and could continue this love of riding in their neighborhoods for many years to come. This program would also be amazing because it would drastically reduce the amount of car riders we currently have while benefitting each student's overall health and well-being." PE Teacher, Russell J.

Burgess-Peterson Academy is seeking support for a complete Kindergarten PE Program, including a fleet of 24 Strider AKB-Specific bikes, helmets, pedal conversion kits, 1 Strider 20-inch bike for teacher instruction, 2 steel rolling storage racks, and curriculum.
