About Churchville Elementary School

"Churchville Elementary School is a small rural school located in Augusta County, VA. We have 56 Kindergarten students and a total enrollment of 433. Our students are eager to learn, participate in class, and find success through different paths. They are excited for school and especially for physical education. Our school, like many others, faces challenges with funding exciting programs to encourage our students to further themselves. An unfortunate number of our families live in a state of poverty and may not be able to provide the excitement that comes from biking. I'd love to give our students the opportunity to learn how to ride a bike and provide them with a chance for that experience in class. Our attendance is generally good, though we do have some students who could benefit from some additional excitement that bikes would bring." David D., PE Teacher

Churchville Elementary School is seeking support for a complete Kindergarten PE Program, including a fleet of 24 Strider AKB-Specific bikes, helmets, pedal conversion kits, 1 Strider 20-inch bike for teacher instruction, 2 steel rolling storage racks, and curriculum.
