"The All Kids Bike program will bring a transformative experience to Franklin Smith Elementary School by equipping kindergarten and first grade students with the skills and confidence to ride a bike. This initiative fosters physical activity, helping children develop balance, coordination, and overall fitness while reducing screen time. By integrating bike riding into PE classes, students gain independence and a lifelong appreciation for outdoor activity, which can positively impact their mental well-being. 

The program also strengthens community ties, as families and local organizations rally to support young riders and encourage safe cycling habits. Additionally, teaching kids to ride early can lead to healthier lifestyles and increased mobility, benefiting both the school and the broader Blue Springs community. Franklin Smith Elementary School is seeking support for a complete Kindergarten PE Program, including a fleet of 24 Strider AKB-Specific bikes, helmets, pedal conversion kits, 1 Strider 20-inch bike for teacher instruction, 2 steel rolling storage racks, and curriculum.
