About Garvanza Elementary Technology and Leadership Magnet

"A core paradigm that drives GETLM is to develop the whole person and that education is a partnership between home and school. Our request of strider bikes will support this paradigm and allow our kindergarten students to grow physically and mentally. Learning to ride a bike will help to give our little leaders greater confidence, and help to develop their connections with peers. 

GETLM is a technology and leadership magnet and we believe that balance feels best. We have to balance the time we spend on tech doing activities that do not involve tech. Learning how to ride a bike will provide our students with a physical activity, that is not tech-driven and will help to foster improved peer relations. Garvanza Elementary Technology and Leadership Magnet is seeking support for a complete Kindergarten PE Program, including a fleet of 25 Strider AKB-Specific bikes, helmets, pedal conversion kits, one Strider 20-inch bike for teacher instruction, 2 steel rolling storage racks, and curriculum.
