About Great Expectations School

"We are a small school on the North Shore of Lake Superior. Our school focuses on engaging in physical activity while spending time outdoors in the natural world. This bike program is a perfect way for us to continue fulfilling that mission. A recently paved bike trail next to our school would provide a great place to practice skills. We already have a community program in place to teach third graders road bike safety. By starting a bike program at the kindergarten level, we will be able to build those important skills at an earlier age and continue to foster a love of the outdoors!" Kindergarten Teacher, Anne M.


Great Expectations School is seeking support for a complete Kindergarten PE Program, including a fleet of 20 Strider AKB-Specific Bikes, helmets, pedal conversion kits, one Strider 20-inch Bike for teacher instruction, 2 steel rolling storage racks and curriculum.
