About Monroe Elementary School

"This request will impact my organization immensely. Our school has a fleet of bike for older students which I begin to teach in second grade. This would allow me to expand my program to include TK, kindergarten and first graders. We work with MOVE SB County and every month we put on a Walk and Roll to school day. 

This would help increase the amount of students riding at school and hopefully encourage more students to be active and ride their bikes to school. This would be a great way to get students exposure early on and make teaching them on bikes with pedals much smoother. They also get to improve their skills if they already have a balance bike at home, this would make my program equitable for all." PE Teacher, Ryan C. 

Monroe Elementary School is seeking support for a complete Kindergarten PE Program, including a fleet of 24 Strider AKB-Specific bikes, helmets, pedal conversion kits, one Strider 20-inch bike for teacher instruction, 2 steel rolling storage racks, and curriculum.
