About North East Carolina Prep School

"Implementing the All Kids Bike program in our rural, Title 1 public kindergarten will have a significant impact on both our charter school and our students. Firstly, it will promote physical activity and healthy habits among our young learners, addressing childhood obesity and promoting overall wellness.

Secondly, it will enhance gross motor skills, coordination, and balance, crucial for their physical development and readiness for other physical activities. Additionally, the program will instill a sense of confidence and achievement as students learn to ride bikes, fostering positive self-esteem and social interactions. Moreover, it can serve as a tool for experiential learning, integrating concepts such as safety, teamwork, and environmental awareness into the curriculum.

Finally, it will create a fun and inclusive learning environment, promoting engagement and enthusiasm for school among our students. Overall, the All Kids Bike program will contribute to the holistic development and well-being of our students, laying a foundation for lifelong health and success." ICAP Director, Amy R.

North East Carolina Prep School is seeking support for a complete Kindergarten PE Program, including a fleet of 24 Strider AKB-Specific bikes, helmets, pedal conversion kits, one Strider 20-inch bike for teacher instruction, 2 steel rolling storage racks, and curriculum.
