About Northville Central School

"Learning how to ride a bike can significantly benefit rural students in low socioeconomic communities. Riding a bike provides an affordable and sustainable mode of transportation, enabling students to access schools and resources that may be otherwise distant. Biking promotes physical health, offering an enjoyable form of exercise that can contribute to overall well-being and combat sedentary lifestyles.

Mastering the skill of riding a bike fosters a sense of independence and self-reliance, empowering students to navigate their surroundings with confidence. It enhances social connectivity, as biking can be a shared activity, creating opportunities for community bonding and peer interactions. Additionally, cycling can serve as a means of stress relief, providing a refreshing break from academic pressures. Students in our district would benefit greatly from learning to ride a bike to strengthen their core and balance skills." Elementary Principal, Tammy R.

Northville Central School is seeking support for a complete Kindergarten PE Program, including a fleet of 24 Strider AKB-Specific bikes, helmets, pedal conversion kits, one Strider 20-inch bike for teacher instruction, 2 steel rolling storage racks, and curriculum.
