About Pleasant View Elementary

"A Learn-To-Ride Kindergarten PE Program will help our kindergartners build confidence, balance and coordination in a fun and engaging way. Riding a bike encourages physical activity, which supports healthy growth and development. It also teaches perseverance and patience as students practice new skills and experience success through effort. 

The program would promote independence and responsibility by helping our students learn safety rules and proper bike care. Additionally, riding together fosters teamwork and social skills as students encourage one another. Overall, the program provides an exciting foundation for lifelong fitness and confidence in movement." PE Teacher, Michael R. 

Pleasant View Elementary School is seeking support for a complete Kindergarten PE Program, including a fleet of 24 Strider AKB-Specific bikes, helmets, pedal conversion kits, 1 Strider 20-inch bike for teacher instruction, 2 steel rolling storage racks, and curriculum.
