"This request will allow PS 376 to implement the All Kids Bike Kindergarten PE Learn to Ride Program, giving our students access to a complete fleet of bikes, helmets, storage racks, and an inclusive curriculum at no extra cost. Because we are a Title I school in an underserved part of Brooklyn, many of our young learners do not have bikes of their own or safe opportunities to learn how to ride.

Introducing this program in kindergarten will help them develop physical coordination, confidence, and a habit of daily activity benefits that support both academic focus and mental health. Providing this early‐exercise opportunity will also help reduce inequalities in health and physical education that exist in our community. By equipping every child with the tools to learn, PS 376 can foster a culture of wellness, safety, and inclusion for all students." PE Teacher, Reyes, Andon 

PS 376 Felisa Rincon de Gautier is seeking support for a complete Kindergarten PE Program, including a fleet of 24 Strider AKB-Specific bikes, helmets, pedal conversion kits, 1 Strider 20-inch bike for teacher instruction, 2 steel rolling storage racks, and curriculum.
