About Ruben Chavira Elementary

"All Kids Bike provides a wonderful opportunity for the students of Ruben Chavira Elementary to learn how to ride a bike and experience the many benefits that come with it. Through this program, students strengthen coordination and balance while developing essential motor skills. Riding a bike also builds strength and endurance, encouraging healthy lifestyle habits that foster self-confidence. 

As a Title I school, many of our students lack the opportunities and experiences often available to their peers. Learning to ride a bike not only levels that playing field but also contributes to students’ self-efficacy, social development, and emotional well-being. This program supports the whole child—physically, mentally, and socially—while giving them a skill they can carry into adulthood." Principal, Carol S. 

Ruben Chavira Elementary School is seeking support for a complete Kindergarten PE Program, including a fleet of 24 Strider AKB-Specific bikes, helmets, pedal conversion kits, 1 Strider 20-inch bike for teacher instruction, 2 steel rolling storage racks, and curriculum.
