About Sidney Public Schools

"Sidney Public Schools is dedicated to building a strong, positive school culture where relationships, collaboration, and a love of learning are at the heart of everything we do. Our educators prioritize creating safe, supportive environments where students feel valued, confident, and empowered. We foster curiosity and a passion for learning by encouraging students to ask questions, think critically, and explore multiple ways to solve problems. From the earliest grades, students are inspired to consider their futures and develop the skills they need to become capable, compassionate, and powerful learners.

In support of this, receiving a classroom set of bicycles and a structured curriculum would allow us to provide our youngest students the opportunity to learn how to ride a bike—an essential life skill. This program would enhance physical development by improving motor skills, balance, and coordination, while also promoting confidence at a critical stage in student growth. Just as importantly, it would encourage healthy habits and a lifelong love for outdoor activity." Director of Curriculum and Assessment, Tess P.

Sidney Public Schools South and Central are seeking support for a complete Kindergarten PE Program, including a fleet of 24 Strider AKB-Specific bikes, helmets, pedal conversion kits, 1 Strider 20-inch bike for teacher instruction, 2 steel rolling storage racks, and curriculum.
