"South Canyon is a small neighborhood school serving students from a wide range of socioeconomic backgrounds. We are committed to teaching lifelong skills and promoting positive, engaging activities for all learners. The All Kids Bike program has been transformative—many of our students are getting on a bike for the very first time, building confidence in balance and riding. We’ve seen that confidence carry over into other activities in physical education and even into the classroom.

The joy this program brings is unmatched. The smiles and laughter as students learn to balance and pedal are incredible, and their excitement when they tell their parents, “I can ride a bike!” is unforgettable. Being able to take home a helmet from the Don’t Thump Your Melon program serves as a meaningful “trophy” that celebrates their accomplishment and hard work.

Having an updated fleet of bikes, along with easy-to-use storage racks, would enhance this experience even further, making the unit more efficient, accessible, and enjoyable for both students and staff." Molly Pope, PE Teacher
