About South Edmonson Elementary

"South Edmonson Elementary School is a special school. We are located in a rural Appalachian county of Kentucky where 17% of our students live below the poverty line. SEES is special because our staff continually goes the extra mile to try to provide essential needs and experiences for our students well beyond the boundaries of academics. 

Not only do many of our students not have bicycles at home, but most have gravel driveways making it hard to learn to ride. If we were to receive this program, our students would be lucky enough to learn a lifelong skill and hobby that they may otherwise not have the opportunity to do." PE Teacher, Lesley S. 

South Edmonson Elementary School is seeking support for a complete Kindergarten PE Program, including a fleet of 28 Strider AKB-Specific bikes, helmets, pedal conversion kits, one Strider 20-inch bike for teacher instruction, 2 steel rolling storage racks, and curriculum.
