"This program would allow us to teach our students the introductory skills of cycling. We would be able to teach the importance of using safety equipment while riding bikes and proper road etiquette. I also think having the opportunity to have strider bikes to use in our classes could promote the enjoyment of the lifetime sport of cycling at an early age. I actually used a strider bike to teach my old children how to ride a bike and it was extremely effective. Waterford-Halfmoon Elementary School is seeking support for a complete Kindergarten PE Program, including a fleet of 24 Strider AKB-Specific Bikes, helmets, pedal conversion kits, one Strider 20-inch bike for teacher instruction, 2 steel rolling storage racks, and curriculum.
